If you are looking for the best place to rent a scooter on Maui then seriously you've found it. You cannot beat this deal. I almost paid $60 for 5 hours at a place in Lahaina. After renting from this place for 24 hours for $35, I'm so glad I rented from here. It literally takes 5 hours to become completely comfortable with these things. I ended up renting a 50cc, and for somebody who's never ridden a motorcycle like me, it was perfect. My girlfriend also rented one with the same level of experience and had zero problems besides the occasional big truck that zooms by a little too close. We didn't take helmets, but we were FOOLS not to. You can easily stow them in the compartment under the seat if needed, along with other beach-going/day trip items. Not to mention they'll train you on everything you need to know about the bike for your trip. We rode out to Lahaina, then to Haiku, and then to Big Beach and back over our 24-hour trip. It was insanely fun, and to be completely honest I didn't really get a feel for the island until I took advantage of the adventure that Hawaiian Cruisers offer for a completely fair price. Super nice people, great equipment, easy to find, and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend them. I rented a 50cc motor scooter and I while I last rode one many decades ago, I found it just like getting back on a bike! (Haha!) It was easy to ride, and I had a blast! And after tootling around on it for a few days, it only cost $.88 to fill it back up with gas. Also, I really appreciated the time they took to go over the bike with me, explain everything, provide a well-fitting helmet, and let me practice in the back parking lot on my own. They were very patient and thorough. They also seem to do a lot of business, so make a reservation if possible. They do have a lot of equipment though of various types, so check them out even if last minute. Two thumbs up! Highly recommend!
